May 2023 marked the 10 year anniversary of MMWA on Somerset 106.
10 years of incredible memories, countless interviews, and infectious laughter that have made our Mid-Mornings truly special. Thank you, Amy, for being the voice that brightens our days and connects our community.
Let's raise a toast to Amy's unwavering dedication and the countless moments that have touched our hearts. Here's to another 10 years of incredible radio, friendship, and endless smiles.

Somerset 106 becomes the Official Radio Station of Burnside, Kentucky | |

Several members from Forcht Broadcasting, Somerset 106.1 FM, the City of Burnside, and Burnside Tourism met for lunch on Friday, May 19 to kick off their new partnership that designates Somerset 106.1 FM as The Official Radio Station of Burnside, Ky!
Alison Pyles with Burnside Tourism said “Whether you’re on the lake, seeing the historic sites, shopping, or just having lunch at one of the many restaurants in Burnside… Somerset 106 radio provides the perfect soundtrack for your day. Their digital marketing team offers so much more beyond the radio dial and have been a valuable asset to improve Tourism in the Burnside area.”
Kevin Wilson, GM at Somerset 106, said “Somerset 106 is very proud and honored to be named The Official Radio Station of Burnside. Being also named The Official Radio Station of Downtown Somerset for several years now, this additional designation for Burnside reminds us of the amazing opportunity that we value to be more involved in every community we serve in the Lake Cumberland area.”

Matthew agreed to provide severe weather coverage and updates to Somerset 106 FM and our sister stations in and around Lake Cumberland.

Somerset 106 Gets a New Banner | |

Somerset 106 has been telling community stories and playing your favorite music for 15 years in 2023! During this time, we’ve had the most amazing guests in our studio.
Each of our guests sign our 106 studio banner, and our original banner was getting full of names – so, we had to hang another 106 banner! We don’t mind getting a new banner, because this means there are many more stories to tell and many more guests signatures to get.
Thank you to everyone who has shared a microphone with us over the past 15 years! Your name’s on our banners, and we can’t wait to see all the new guest signatures on our new 106 banner as we celebrate 15 years of being your hometown radio station!
