What is FTR up to this month?  Take a minute to find out...you won't want to miss it!
Start Monkeying Around!
Join us for an hour of playtime on our climbing wall! Bring your animal spirit on
Saturday mornings after Bootcamp from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. and swing from our brightly colored bouldering routes. They were put up by the skilled route setters from Momentum Climbing gym, and you are promised a thrilling challenge.  All skill levels are encouraged. Bring your courage and strength for a safe and joyful introduction to rock climbing. Thanks again to Petzl Foundation
for making our wall a reality.

Look for upcoming Rock Challenges from local "ninja" Marci Warner.  Including a trip into the mountains to tackle sun kissed granite walls, and a contest of climbing through the levels to scale the hardest routes on our wall.
Nutrition 101 workshop

Food to Recover is at it again!
In honor of National Nutrition Month, come learn the basics of healthy eating with the Food to Recover team on Saturday, March 26 at 11:00 AM right after Bootcamp.

The wonderful student dietitian volunteers from throughout the Salt Lake Valley
will be your guides through
"Navigating Your Way Through the Food Jungle," a great start to monkeying around on our climbing wall. You'll learn how to avoid nutrition myths while discovering simple ways to incorporate and enjoy a healthy eating lifestyle." All nutrition questions are welcome during this free workshop.

Spotlight: Parker J. Burns

We are stoked to have a new dynamic personality in the gym.  Parker is an experienced athletic trainer and an important new member of the trainer team. He studied Exercise and Sport Science at the University of Utah and has worked with many local gyms in the Salt Lake Valley.

He is quick to strike up a conversation with a bright smile, and quickly felt right at home in the FTR community.  He understands how to make people feel confident and strong in the gym. Welcome Parker!

FTR UPDATES:

SCORE Sam's Club

Fit to Recover is one of two Utah finalists in the national 2016 American Small Business Championship sponsored by Sam's Club/SCORE. We'll hear if we advance to the next round on Friday March 11. Cross your fingers! Click here for more.

Too often, we only see the face of addiction in the faces of those in recovery. In fact, our community is made up of accomplished, multi-faceted individuals. We've  added a page on our website to profile our FTR members through a different lens -- their own words and creative endeavors.

Meet Sarah, Josh, and Rachel and see three more reasons why we are so proud of our community.

Special thanks to our Champion donors:
The George S. and Dolores D. Eccles Foundation
The Sorenson Legacy Foundation
