HOME OF THE HAWKS

Greetings to Our Cooper Community,

Hard to believe that we only have seven days of school left, and seniors are done with classes on Friday May 31st

This week we will be distributing Cap & Gowns

(May 29th -31st)

Make sure they have completed the Rules for Behavior & Dress.

If they have not done this yet when they come to pick up their Cap & Gown - They will need to wait until they complete this form & then come and pick up the cap & gown the following day .

The last day of school is June 6, we will be releasing at 12:30!! Graduation ceremonies will begin at 7:30pm this year.

Chromebook Spring 2019 Intake Information

Please make sure your child brings everything back to school to hand in their Chromebooks:

Seniors - Friday, May 31

Freshmen, EL and SPED - Monday, June 3

Sophomores and juniors - Tuesday, June 4

Check-in will take place during English classes in the Media Center.

Students need to turn in all three pieces that were handed out Fall 2017. Students will be assessed a fine for the pieces that are not turned in at the time of check in.

9th Grade Personal Project Meetings

Your child may be receiving calendar invites, email invites, etc. to meet with a staff member regarding the Personal Project. They need to meet with their supervisor before the end of the school year.

As a reminder, all students are expected to complete a Personal Project; this meeting with a supervisor is a required step in the process.

IB, AP, Career and College Readiness Updates

sThis message was sent to our current 9th grade student that are taking APUSH next ear:

Dear Incoming APUSH (AP US History) Scholars,

On Tuesday, May 28th you will be assigned to HLL 5A in the auditorium to go over the APUSH Summer Assignment. Please bring your chromebook so that you can access the Schoology APUSH Webpage. I will go over the main expectations and give you a list of resources that you can use in order to complete the assignment. At this point you are likely thinking: Why is there a summer assignment? To answer this question honestly, I must inform you that many school districts across the country start school anywhere between 1-4 weeks earlier than us and therefore, we need to get some of the learning done before school starts or we will have very severe workloads for the rest of the year in order to prepare for the May 8, 2020 College Exam.

If you have questions, please feel comfortable asking them at the meeting, or by sending me an email.

If you are assigned to a different Lunch & Learn session on Tuesday, send an email to Ms. Meyer so she can change your assignment.
