Summer is here! I'd like to thank you all for the hard work you put in, day in and day out, for our children, families, and fellow educators. I challenge you all to set an intention for the break. Intentional self-care, intentional reading, intentional hikes, intentional whatever you choose! Refill your well with intention, and above all, be kind to yourself, for you've all worked so hard!

As a new Beacon Director finishing up her first year at Aptos Beacon Community School in San Francisco, Sunny Zhang has made significant progress in building partnerships to offer a wide variety of opportunities for her students, including surfing!
