Donations Enabling Telehealth
The Hume Center, like the majority of mental health providers, has moved most services toward telehealth (video meetings) to help our clients continue to receive services during the Stay at Home Order. While many clients already had the required technology, several did not. We were thrilled to receive a private donation to kick off our Telehealth Fund that allowed us to buy tablets for the first few clients who needed a digital device to access this service. Not only did this device allow the clients to start receiving therapy over video, it also allowed those individuals to access other digital experiences to help them connect to support systems, loved ones, education, and entertainment.
We are looking to expand our Telehealth Fund to be able to provide needed technology for our consumers. If you are interested in donating to this fund at this critical time, please use the PayPal button located on the donations page on our website
here.

Youth Vitality, Attention and Positivity In Our Challenging Environment
On April 7, 2020, Hume's Preet Sabharwal, PsyD and Alex Sanchez, PsyD facilitated a webinar in partnership with the India Community Center and Crack The Wellness Code titled Youth Vitality, Attention and Positivity In Our Challenging Environment. The webinar focused on providing a space for youth to share their experiences as they face all the varied challenges that COVID-19 and the Stay Home Order have placed on them. This webinar, which was highly attended, gave youth direct access to ask questions about this unprecedented situation and process their feelings. The event gave youth opportunities to reflect on shared experiences and focused on how to stay positive and healthy during this challenging period in history.
