Denton County Moves Forward With Reopening Bars This Week
County judges will be able to opt in to allow bars to reopen for the first time since June, Gov. Greg Abbott announced last Wednesday.

According to Gov. Abbott, effective Oct. 14, county judges can opt-in to allow bars to reopen at 50% capacity inside, and all customers must be seated while eating or drinking. There is no occupancy limit outdoors.
Appy Now For The Latest Relief Program
The City of Coppell has established a new grant program — Coppell CARES Business Rent/Mortgage Assistance Grant — to assist local businesses that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This new program replaces the Coppell CARES Restaurant Assistance Grant and Coppell CARES Business Retrofit Grant that were launched in July. There will be a continuous application period from September 28 until all funds have been distributed or October 30.

Taste of Coppell To Feature 18 Local Restaurants Across 6 Days
Taste of Coppell, presented by Frost Bank, will happen with a twist in 2020. This year ticket holders will visit daily featured restaurants for "tastes or samplings" of the restaurant's best entrees, hors d'oeuvres or desserts. Participating restaurants include:
