Mark Your Calendars
We start and end with A Days next week.  Make sure you have learned from your teachers how to attend Content Hour each afternoon.
Technical Support & Laptop Pick-Up
Students returning to Bellaire that need help with a technical issue should complete a Request for Technical Support.

After trouble shooting your problem, you will have the opportunity to schedule an appointment. Please bring your device, charger and case to your appointment.

If a student has not picked up a laptop yet, they can make an appointment to drive through and pick one up here.

Back to School - Parent Forms
If you thought you were being spared from all those first day forms that we love, please know that they are still alive and kicking.  However they are electronic this year and that's very exciting.

We need you to login to HISD Connect Parent Portal (It can be found on our website on the left-hand side under Helpful Links).  Once inside the parent portal you will see on the left-hand side a link to FORMS.

While all the forms are important, we want to specifically draw your attention to the Socio-Economic Form as this impacts our overall school budget in a large way.
It is critical that these forms be completed as soon as possible so that we may maximize our overall school funding.  If you have any questions about the forms then please contact Miriam Mulet
(mmulet1@houstonisd.org).
Textbooks
Textbook pick-up will continue in the afternoons next week. If we are out of a book that you need, your teacher will let you know when we have more in stock.
INSTRUMENT AND ART SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION
Do you need to pick up an instrument or art/photography supplies?  The following dates have been designated for picking up these items (by appointment only):

Sep. 16, 2-6pm  - Instruments and Art/Photography Supplies
Sep. 22, 2-6pm - Art/Photography Supplies

Pick up locations will be outside of the building on South Rice.  Band/Orchestra will be near the MPR entrance, Guitar near the Auditorium entrance, and Art/Photography on the corner of S.Rice/Maple.
Students in band, guitar, orchestra, art, and photography should contact their teachers to set up an appointment.

HISD Connect Parent Portal - Access Codes
Approximately ten days ago an email was sent to all students via their HISD email account.  This email contained an "Access Code" and "Pass Word" for parents to use to create an account. HISD Connect can be accessed from the homepage of the website under Helpful links.  You can also access it here.  Accounts can be created beginning on Monday, August 31.

Course Change Requests
If a student sees an error on their schedule they should submit a Course Change Request Form online.  The forms are available under the Counselor's Tab and on the Home Page of our website.

Please remember that course change requests should only be submitted if there is an error.  Students should follow their current schedule until an updated schedule is shared.
Advocacy
We are working to resolve a technical issue around how attendance is noted during Advocacy.  Please understand that Advocacy is not a course that student's receive a grade for and is not included on a student's high school transcript.

Senior Portraits
Senior Portraits will be taken on campus September 24 and 25th by appointment. Social Distancing protocols will be in place to enter the facility. Sign up here:

Bellaire Theatre Department.

It is not too late to audition for the Bellaire Theatre Department!

If you are auditioning for theatre production, perform a 30-45 second monologue from a published play, plus your slate (the total should not be more than one minute) and video it.

If you are auditioning for theatre tech, create an original design (costume, set, make up, or prop) based on a scene from a published play, present it (the total should not be more than two-minutes including your slate) and video it. In your video, we want to see the full design process. From inspirations, beginning sketches to the finished product. Be sure to showcase your creation.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact any of us.
