Monthly Newsletter | September 2021
Dear Colleague,

What a month! The Corporate Real Estate Innovation Forum earlier this month was without doubt an outstanding success. Delayed due to the pandemic, this was our first time to meet LIVE in-person at a Chapter event since February 2020 and it was truly fantastic to have drawn such a great audience with 140 attendees making it a sell-out. Thank you to all who attended and I hope you enjoyed the varied learning sessions on offer and of course all the long overdue networking experience. For those who didn’t get to join us, presentations can be found on the on-line Knowledge Center. Remember though this is a member benefit! A big thank you also to the speakers and moderators and of course the sponsors who without their generous support, events of this kind would not be possible.

To keep up momentum, we have planned our schedule for the remainder of the year with a combination of LIVE in-person events and virtual ones through to our end of year celebration on 7 December at Expo 2020. Very exciting as we will be joined by Mimi Nicklin, Bestselling Author, Strategist and Organisational Empathy Consultant who will discuss Is Empathy our Secret Power?

Yours sincerely,

Richa Singh

Do not work! Read the full article here. Toby Hall, former Chair of the Middle East Chapter and currently the Dubai Association Centre Lead said "it's great to see Nike taking a lead and recognising the huge importance of mental health in the workplace, and it’s clear impact on people’s personal lives and productivity, and I hope we will see other companies start similar initiatives."

Heriot Watt Dubai to compete in Academic Challenge
CoreNet Global's Academic Challenge invites students from around the world to think creatively about a problem facing real estate professionals for renowned companies like Google, Duke Energy, AstraZeneca, Whirlpool, and many others. This year we are delighted that students from Heriot Watt Dubai will compete with their peers from around the world. Director of Studies Real Estate Dr Michael Waters said "CoreNet Global Middle East has been a very supportive part of our growth and development as the leading international real estate education provider in Dubai. This support brings a real-world application to key parts of our syllabus within the corporate real estate management course we have as part of the MSc Real Estate degree at Heriot Watt University’s Dubai Campus. It is a career path often forgotten by those looking to enter the sector but it’s a highly important one. This year’s academic challenge picks up on a very critical part of innovation around ESG to which many multinational businesses are looking for solutions to adoption. I am very excited to be presenting a global team from our Dubai and Edinburgh campuses at Heriot Watt University. We thank CoreNet Global for their continuous support”.
