Best Week Ever

Teachers throughout the district are having the Best Week Ever after celebrating Teacher Appreciation all this week! Local businesses have been surprising them with drinks, gift certificates, and other fun surprises! Not to mention, they only have two weeks left before Summer Break! 


Thanks to all of our teachers and staff for the amazing work they do with our kids each and every day!

Coming Soon

The Excelsior Springs Area Chamber of Commerce announced this past week that they have purchased a 25 passenger shuttle bus to be used for tourism purposes. The idea is to bring groups in from KC to enjoy a day here in Excelsior! This might also be of service in other ways, so keep it in mind if you need group transportation!

The Wellness Cafe at the Community Center will expand their hours for summer starting May 30th!

A press release issued by Excelsior Springs School District says that the teacher who had been accused of excessive disciplinary actions against a student has been cleared of all charges made against them.

Excelsior Springs Welcomes Farmers State Bank

Farmers State Bank celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting on May 3, 2022. Branch manager and Excelsior Springs resident, Brad McBee was given the honor of cutting the ribbon and welcoming Excelsorites to the new location.

Library Patrons Go Wild for Saturday Program

Excelsior Springs’ Mid-Continent Public Library held a special program Saturday afternoon that had the patrons going wild! The Kansas City Exotic Animal Education Institute (aka KC Exotics R Us) came to the library with a plethora of exotic animals to show to the large audience of children and adults who had gathered.

Coop Returns $2.8 Million to

Consumer-Members

Platte-Clay Electric Cooperative announced today it will return $2.8 million worth of capital credits to consumer-members in the month of May. The funds, which will be distributed to active accounts through bill credits, represent each consumer-member’s share of the co-op’s excess revenue.
