Community Newsletter - June 2020
From the Desk of Julie
I hope this newsletter finds you well during this very challenging time. Our lives have changed dramatically since mid-March, but I am proud to share that Cornerstone VNA was well prepared to respond to the pandemic, thanks to our incredible team, thoughtful community members and generous donors. Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have been able to provide our office staff with the tools they needed to work remotely, and give our field staff the equipment and support they needed to continue caring for our patients. We were even able to double our remote monitoring Telehealth program in order to provide advanced care at home while minimizing exposure to our patients and staff.

It has been quite a journey, but our team has been amazing! If you'd like to learn more about our response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and what resources are available throughout our communities, click here .

Thank you for taking the time to read our summer newsletter, and please know that we are always here for you!

Warm regards,
Julie Reynolds, RN, MS, President/CEO

"Since coming on staff, the extra help in transferring my knowledge into the way Cornerstone does things has been there in abundance. I have been treated like a valuable member of a family. I would and have recommended this agency to other nurses that I talk to. Cornerstone places quality care of our patients over quantity and I am proud to work here."

CVNA Receives Grant from the Walmart Foundation
Cornerstone VNA was recently awarded a $500 community grant from the Walmart Community Grants Team and Facility #1749 in Somersworth, NH. The grant funds are being used to purchase flowers and plants that a Cornerstone VNA Hospice volunteer will deliver to Hospice patients. These special deliveries are a touching way to help honor patients at end of life and bring them joy.
Nancy Nicolazzo, Hospice Volunteer Coordinator remarks, “We are so very grateful for the generous donation from Walmart that will make it possible for Barbara Kelczewski, Hospice Volunteer, to brighten the days of patients and their families by bringing them beautiful plants and flowers.” According to Somersworth Walmart Assistant Store Manager, Zac LaRoche, “We are happy to support a tremendous cause, any way we can help, we are happy to be here for you!”
