BACnet International is exhibiting at the World Energy Engineering Congress (WEEC), the largest energy conference and technology expo held in the U.S. specifically for business, industrial and institutional energy users

Save the Date - PlugFest 2017
The BACnet International BACnet Testing Laboratories Working Group (BTL WG) invites manufacturers of BACnet products to attend the 18th annual PlugFest, an interoperability workshop at The University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH.
This event permits vendors to test their BACnet products with BACnet devices from other vendors in a neutral and friendly environment. 2016 saw 80 BACnet engineers representing 37 teams in attendance, working together to improve their BACnet implementation and testing methods.
The 2017 event will run from Tuesday, September 26 through Thursday, September 28.
The BACnet Working Group will be meeting on Monday, September 25 prior to the start of PlugFest.

The BACnet Institute (TBI) Resource Library is an extensive
repository of articles, white papers, presentations and recorded webinars for anyone involved with BACnet systems.
It centralizes a wealth of expert knowledge, which is categorized by application, focus and user level for easy accessibility.
Currently, there are over 100 resources available in the Resource Library, ranging from the recent white paper "BACnet to Leverage IT" by Bernhard Isler, chairman ASHRAE SSPC 135 BACnet committee, to the popular video presentation "BACnet 101" presented by Ben Dorsey III at the 2017 AHR Expo.
Updated frequently, the Resource Library is a valuable source of information and learning that you will find applicable in your interaction with the BACnet protocol.

that includes on-demand, self-paced courses, community forums and a resource library.

Public Reviews of Two Addenda to BACnet Standard
ASHRAE has announced the start of 45-day public reviews of two addenda to the BACnet standard. The public review of the following addenda will close on June 12, 2017, at midnight EDT.
Addendum 135-2016bi, Audit Reporting, is going out for its 3rd Publication Public Review of Independent Substantive Changes. This addendum adds a new Audit Reporter object type and new audit notification services to report auditable actions. A new Audit Log object type and a new audit query service is added to log and retrieve audit notifications.

Automated Logic's New High Efficiency Chilled Water System Optimizer Helps Customers Save Energy
Automated Logic Corporation has expanded its suite of optimization solutions for the WebCTRL® building automation system to include a new chilled water system optimizer. The new WebCTRL chilled water system optimizer minimizes the energy use of the entire chilled water system in a commercial building, including air handling units, fan coils and other chilled water distribution equipment.
The optimizer solution consists of an Automated Logic controller, a patent-pending control algorithm, and an integrated dashboard that allows facilities staff to monitor the overall efficiency of the chilled water system from anywhere at any time.
