SPECIAL FALL EDITION

Dear Friends,

Good morning -

October is a month which is jam packed with quilting activities, and this month is a busy one for me here. I am writing you this morning to just quickly give you an update on a few things that can't wait until Friday, November 1 - which is when the regular edition of Cornerstones will be going out.

IMPORTANT Quilter's Calendar UPDATE: After the October newsletter went out, I received an email from Amoskeag Quilters that they are hosting Timna Tarr this weekend - she is their presenter at tonight's regular meeting, and they have two workshops scheduled this weekend with Timna. They still have space available, and would welcome inquiries from non-members. Timna's on my bucket list for lectures, and if it wasn't my husband's birthday today, I'd be there in a flash. This is a great opportunity to grab a class if you're free this weekend.

THIS HAS LEAD TO AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: I'm going to put a DEADLINE TO SUBMIT into the mix.

GOING FORWARD, PLEASE SUBMIT ITEMS TO ME BEFORE THE 25th of the month to make sure you make the next newsletter. Thanks for understanding.

More coming...

All my best...

Linda

I'm not heading to Quilt Market this year; it's on my plan to make it there next year. But there is an online event for those of us that aren't going, called #missingmarket2019 over on Instagram.

It's a 3 day event full of fun and prizes, and it you are interested (it's also a great way to just play along on instagram, and figure out what that's all about!), then search #missingmarket and it will bring up the related posts.

The event happens Oct 26-28 this year, and it'll be a lot of fun.

Linda's Date Book: I'll be doing demonstations over at Quilting Away during the Halloween Spooktacular Shop Hop on Thursday, October 24th from 10 - 4.

Come and see how much fun you can have with the Angela Walter's Rulers from Creative Grid, and look at the class we've just scheduled on Nov 9th.

The MD Anderson Auction site for this year's Ovarian Cancer Auction is up, and you can see the amazing quilts that have been donated for this year's event, and the many quilts donated are gorgeous. There's something for just about every size and budget, and all proceeds go to benefit Ovarian Cancer research through one of the premiere centers in the US. Please take a look if you're inclined, and share the link.

The auction will open for bidding on October 23rd - that's next Wednesday!!!

Many thanks to my partner in crime on this one, Cheryl Szynkowski . The quilting makes the quilt.
