Arboretum News

Greetings!

CHA is gearing up for our 3rd Annual Cornhole ThrowDown this coming Sunday, September 21st from 12-4pm! Iris the rabbit (pictured right) has been practicing her game during her exercise time each day. She's feeling ready. Are you?

Come grab lunch or a drink at the Boxcar Bar and Grill, toss some beanbags, and bring your children to participate in free games and activities as well. Chat with CHA staff, meet our board members, and learn more about the Arboretum's mission at this family-friendly fundraiser. Register as a two-person team for $100, or register as a single for $50 and we will pair you up! Please sign up using the link provided so we can set up the brackets ahead of time. Can't make it to the event, but still want to show your support? You can donate any amount using our online donation portal.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on fundraisers like this to continue our mission of forest restoration and environmental education. All funds raised at this event go towards restoration efforts including the purchase of native plants such as Red Cardinal Flower, a treat for Ruby-throated hummingbirds; Swamp Milkweed, a host plant for Monarch caterpillars; and Appalachian Sedge, a drought-resistant ground cover.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!

Sincerely,

CHA Staff
