CalChamber Honors Corona Businessman with Small Business Advocate of the Year Award
Chris Miller, Owner of Thomas Miller Mortuary & Crematory, was one of two individuals honored with the prestigious Small Business Advocate of the Year Award by CalChamber at this year's Capitol Summit on May 22.

An advocate on behalf of employers in the Corona community for more than a decade, Miller has traveled to Sacramento and Washington, D.C. to advocate for employers numerous times. Last year, he represented small business on issues that included protections for independent contractors, and eliminating potential additional tax increases on small- and medium-sized employers. SBA Offers Disaster Assistance to California Small Businesses
The U.S. Small Business Administration is offering low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to small businesses economically impacted by the severe winter storm in Riverside County that occurred Feb. 13-15, 2019, SBA acting Administrator Christopher M. Pilkerton announced May 22. The disaster declaration makes SBA assistance available in Imperial, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties in California, and La Paz County in Arizona.
