Safety Reminders

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti has ordered that every resident must wear a mask or face covering over their nose and mouth to protect employees and customers while out shopping, at laundromats or dry cleaning businesses, interacting at social service organization offices, or riding in taxis or shared cars. Non-medical-grade fabric coverings like scarves and bandanas, or homemade masks, are acceptable.

Guidelines for PPE are unique to patient-facing and administrative sites, but we've created a handy flyer applicable to all sites, to remind of social distancing, masking, and general safety requirements at work.
Help at Home

If you have family at home and need a bit of help, care.com is offering 30 days of free access to their site so health care workers can find assistance with things like child care, housekeeping, or pet care.

Our Benefits team has also provided a list of resources to help support your child's education at home. Available here or on Town Square.
Basic Life Support/CPR Cards Receive Another AHA Extension

In late March, we announced that the American Heart Association (AHA) had extended the expiration dates of BLS renewal cards by 60 days, so cards that expired on March 31 would now be valid until May 31. The AHA has since extended expiration dates on BLS/CPR cards from the previously announced 60 days to 120 days. Cards that would otherwise expire on April 30 are now good until August 31.
