There is no change to our current policies—you must continue to wear a mask at all times and maintain a physical distance from one another. Employees are required to follow all policies.

Updated signs with the mask-wearing requirement are available to each clinic and must be posted by Tuesday, June 15. This message is also shared on all screensavers and the large digital display outside AltaMed.
Change to Employee Vaccination Location

New Location
  • Employees can continue to receive COVID-19 vaccines on Thursdays at AltaMed Pharmacy – Commerce (5417 E. Whittier Blvd., Los Angeles). 
  • You will need to find street parking at this location.
  • To schedule an appointment, contact Employee Health or call them directly at (323) 765-6153.

Declination
  • If you are waiting to get the vaccine for any reason, fill out the COVID-19 declination form. You may change your mind at any time and sign up to get vaccinated.

Proof
  • If you received the vaccine outside of AltaMed, email a copy of your vaccination card to Employee Health for documentation purposes only.
AltaMed Continues to Offer Vaccines to the Community
 
At AltaMed, we continue to encourage our patients and community to get vaccinated. All of our vaccination sites are open to the general public, including those aged 12 or older.
 
Appointments
  • AltaMed patients can schedule an appointment through MyAltaMed.net if they already have an existing account.
  • The AltaMed Vaccine Hotline at (888) 909-5232 is available for patients and community members to call and schedule their appointments.
  • Community members can also book a vaccination appointment through MyTurn or call (833) 422-4255.

  • May 27 COCA update on chronic conditions which heighten risk for severe illness with COVID-19 
  • Safety data and illnesses in unvaccinated individuals
  • Myocarditis and pericarditis in adolescents with mRNA vaccine
  • Escripts will be engaging with our patients to get vaccinated for COVID-19

Ongoing Safety Guidelines

  1. Wear your masksFace masks are to be worn at all times over your nose and mouth (except when drinking or eating), and should be stored properly or discarded. Patients need to wear masks at all times in examination rooms as well.
  2. Maintain hand hygieneStaff should have easy access to hand sanitizer dispensers to clean hands frequently, and should wash their hands for 20 seconds at a time.
  3. Practice physical distancingStay six feet apart from other individuals whether inside or outside.
  4. Wipe down any work surfaces you touch.
  5. If employees need to be within six feet of someone for a prolonged period of time, wear a face shield and face mask in both administrative and clinical settings—avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. In addition, a face shield and face mask need to be worn at all times when interacting with patients.
  6. Employees must wear appropriate PPE when on site.
