Weekly Employee Vaccinations Available

Employee Health will offer Dose 1 and Dose 2 Moderna vaccines to employees once a week on Thursdays at AMU (2035 Camfield Ave.). As a reminder, Employee Health will schedule second doses 28 days after the first.

  • Work with your supervisor to ensure your availability.
  • Wear short sleeves.
  • Do not carpool with your colleagues.

Patient and Community Vaccine Updates

AltaMed's dedication to providing vaccines to our patients and communities is moving forward successfully. We continue to assess how we can partner with organizations to make the most impact.

We have administered 13,815 vaccines, including 1,925 employees receiving both doses and 146 who have received the first dose, as well as 1,778 vaccines to PACE participants. These numbers will continue to grow as we work to obtain more vaccines. Thank you to everyone for your hard work and commitment!

AltaMed Pharmacies
AltaMed Pharmacy – West Covina and AltaMed Pharmacy – Commerce, Goodrich are now offering vaccines to our patients, bringing the number to eight pharmacies. Patients can call the AltaMed Vaccine Hotline at (888) 909-5232 to make an appointment.

PACE
PACE continues to vaccinate its participants at certain sites.

Orange County
AltaMed is offering vaccines for our patients in Phases 1A and 1B, Tier 1. We are also offering appointments to all residents of Orange County in the above categories. Visit the Orange County Health Care Agency website for eligibility updates.

Los Angeles County
We have a limited supply of vaccines and are prioritizing vaccinating our own patients in Phases 1A and 1B, Tier 1. Visit the Los Angeles County Public Health website for eligibility updates.

Antibody Testing Research Project
AltaMed Institute for Health Equity has partnered with USC Keck School of Medicine on a National Institutes of Health-funded research project to offer COVID-19 antibody testing to a random sample of approximately 500 Los Angeles County AltaMed patients and their families, free of cost. The results from this study will inform the County’s COVID-related health policies in the near future, including school re-opening. If a patient is contacted to take part in the study, direct them to call (323) 955-5519 for more information or email [email protected].
CDPH Eligibility Additions to Start March 15

Starting on Monday, March 15, the California Department of Public Health will add to its vaccine eligibility list. Health care providers may use their clinical judgment to vaccinate individuals aged 16 to 64 who are deemed to be at the very highest risk for morbidity and mortality from COVID-19 based on several severe health conditions.

Safety Guidelines at Work Continue at All Times

  1. Wear your masksFace masks are to be worn at all times over your nose and mouth (except when drinking or eating), and should be stored properly or discarded. Patients need to wear masks at all times in examination rooms as well.
  2. Maintain hand hygieneStaff should have easy access to hand sanitizer dispensers to clean hands frequently, and should wash hands for 20 seconds at a time.
  3. Practice physical distancingStay six feet apart from other individuals whether inside or outside.
  4. Wipe down any work surfaces you touch.
  5. If employees need to be within six feet of someone for a prolonged period of time, wear a face shield and face mask in both an administrative and clinical setting—avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. In addition, a face shield and face mask need to be worn at all times when interacting with patients.
  6. Employees must wear appropriate PPE when on site.
Daily Employee Screening Process

Each day as you enter your work site, you are required to complete the Qualtrics screening process before entering. As part of this, you must enter your unique Employee ID Number, which then verifies your identity. Enter your correct Employee ID Number and verify your identity; select Yes only for your name; select No if another employee's name appears. It is very important that you enter the correct information and check for accuracy.
