New Information on Children and COVID-19

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released new information about the multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) associated with COVID-19. Dr. Sherrill Brown recently shared an extensive summary, prepared by Dr. Norma Perez and her colleagues, with providers and clinicians. Open Enrollment Runs May 26 June 12

This year's Open Enrollment period starts on Tuesday, May 26 and closes at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, June 12. You can make benefit elections by accessing PlanSource, our online benefits enrollment system, as often as you like throughout the Open Enrollment period. Information was emailed to all employees yesterday. You can also access this information on Town Square .
 
The Benefits Support Center will be available Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to assist with benefits-related questions or to help enroll over the phone. For questions, contact the Benefits Support Center at [email protected] or by calling (323) 720-5670, Option 1.

Don't forget...
  • Wear a mask over your nose and mouth at all times
  • Practice social distancing when possible – six feet apart from other individuals whether inside or outside
  • Perform hand hygiene frequently and regularly
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Wipe down any work surfaces you touch (computers and phones too)
  • Employees must wear their appropriate PPE when on site–it’s your responsibility
  • Follow the PPE guidelines–it could save your life or the lives of others
Mindfulness Town Hall in Spanish Set for May 28
 
Join us for the upcoming virtual town hall in Spanish: "Enfócate en ti: Cuida tu salud emocional." Dr. Sandra Pisano, Director of Behavioral Health at AltaMed, and Dr. Jeffrey Ring, Principal at Health Management Associates, will be joined by Dr. Paula Helu-Brown, Assistant Professor at Mount St. Mary’s University, to conduct a one-hour session beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 28. They will help participants address fear and anxiety as we cope with COVID-19.
