BE LOVE, COMPASSION, EMPATHY

Let me preface this message with something fundamental:

I know there is so much pain and sacrifice in the community.

There are those who are struggling with bills.

Those who are struggling with loneliness.

We all just want a hug to feel better about the world.

PLEASE KNOW
We Love each of you.
We feel Compassion towards you.
We are Empathetic -- your pain is our pain.

Today, I think it is helpful and nourishing to see some positive stories about love, charity, ingenuity and our shared humanity.

Like the power of a hug, which we need:

Love transcends
even when convention tells us
to be separated by protective measures

We know there are MANY inspiring stories in our Sunrise Family...

Of CHARITY….
(like the many businesses who are quietly donating…
Or the City Employees who used their own funds to buy food and supplies for a single mom who lost her job and has four children)

Of HOPE…
(like the positive messages I receive looking forward to the simple moments we all miss so much)

  Of LOVE, COMPASSION, AND EMPATHY

Share your stories with us.

Thank you to all those in the community who have been donating to our food bank, working to provide meals to needy families and seniors and taking the time to care for someone else.
Some of you have been forwarding my messages to other residents.

Thank You!
