Update from the US Treasury
The Treasury Department has released more specifics on the CARES Act Paycheck Protection Program, including more information on program guidelines and an application. For more information, please see the following link:  https://home.treasury.gov/policy-issues/top-priorities/cares-act/assistance-for-small-businesses .
 
  Please note these important points on applications and timing:
  • Small businesses and sole proprietorships can apply beginning on April 3rd.
  • Independent contractors and self-employed individuals can apply beginning on April 10th.
  • Please begin assembling documents as outlined in the Paycheck Protection Program Information Sheet for Borrowers .
  • If you wish to begin preparing your application, you can download a sample form to see the information that will be requested from you.

Legislature preparing for Take out Beer and Wine by Weekend
Both the House and Senate will be in session tomorrow, with hopes of getting a large municipal package to the Governor's desk. Included in this bill is language authoring beer and wine sales. The specific language has initially passed both branches has been included in earlier alerts.
