MRA Common Questions:
Are my front of the house employees required to wear gloves?
Gloves are not required as part of the reopen process. Operators may choose to have their customer facing employees wear gloves, but it is not a requirement for reopening. As always, food safety regulations require no bare-hand-contact with ready to eat foods.
When will wedding and other event guidelines be issued?
Most of these events appear to be authorized in Phase 3. We are actively engaged in trying to get clear guidelines for our events based segment of our industry. Certain sized event functions should not be in the same category as concerts and stadium re-openings.
Were bars moved to Phase 4?
According to the reopen guidelines and Executive Order issued on June 1, a bar is an operation that does not have a food license. Only establishments with a food permit are permitted to open in Phase 2. While there is still a restriction on bar seating in Phase 2, bar areas may be re-configured to accommodate table seating that complies with all spacing and other requirements.
