Dear Bishop Blanchet community,

We continue to closely monitor and evaluate the situation regarding the coronavirus and COVID-19 in our area, with King County Public Health and CDC guidance. First, in terms of the health of our Brave community, we do not have a change of status. Bishop Blanchet does not currently have any cases of COVID-19 and school remains open at this time. With this update, we want to highlight two important topics: our Digital Distance Learning Plan and our Brave Venture Auction.

Brave Venture Auction - CANCELLED
We have decided to cancel our Brave Venture Auction on March 14, 2020. We spent this past week conferring with our Auction team and our vendors in order to minimize unnecessary costs and develop an alternative online auction experience. Our Auction is a huge community event, and a large undertaking by our staff and many volunteers. We thank all those who have already given so much of their time.

Instead of gathering together for the auction next weekend, we will hold an Online Auction that will be open March 13-15, 2020. The online auction will have all of the fabulous live items available for bidding . Your support of our school by participating in the online auction is very much appreciated and directly impacts our current and future students.

For information on the new Online Auction plan, please click here.

We appreciate our community rallying together in this unpredictable time. Thank you for your flexibility, grace and understanding as we work quickly, but diligently, to gather information, assess risks and disseminate information to you as soon as we are able.

Please assist us by keeping your student home if they are sick or exhibiting any flu-like symptoms, seeking medical attention as needed. Absences will be excused. Teachers, coaches and staff will work with students to make up work without penalty.  Please report any absences to Students should bring home all academic materials nightly in the event of an unscheduled closing of our building.
