AHLA Pushes for COVID Relief
When the Senate and House return to Capitol Hill next week following the Thanksgiving recess, they will be met by a forceful new digital ad campaign and grassroots effort by AHLA and the COVID Relief NOW Coalition. The COVID Relief NOW Coalition has nearly 300 supporting organizations, including those representing the public sector, critical infrastructure, and businesses of all sizes. The group shares one common goal – to push Congress to provide additional economic relief to those hardest hit sectors of the economy.
AHLA, in conjunction with the coalition, will push for a second draw of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), loan forgiveness, and additional liquidity measures. There is approximately $140 billion left over in PPP funding currently sitting idle that could be utilized by hoteliers and other businesses to keep their employees on payroll and service their debt.
