COVID RELIEF NOW AD + ACTION ALERT
|
|
Yesterday, the CRN Coalition launched a new ad “Economic Relief Can’t Wait” which calls on Congress to pass another economic relief package during the current lame duck session. Here is a link to watch the ad which is currently running across digital platforms including Twitter, YouTube, Google, connected TVs, and other online sites(Facebook is still restricting political and issue advocacy ads). They currently have budget to have the ad run through December 11th. The ads geofence Congress, the Administration as well as the Biden Campaign Headquarters and transition office.
We urge you to take two actions TODAY to apply pressure on Congress to reach a bipartisan, bicameral agreement on COVID relief:
-
ACTIVATE YOUR GRASSROOTS/GRASSTOPS: if you have not already done so, please activate your grassroots and grasstops mechanisms as soon as possible. While we know that Speaker Pelosi and Leaders McConnell, Schumer and McCarthy will be the ultimate arbiters of any relief package , it is critically important that those leaders are hearing from their respective rank and file members on the need for additional COVID Relief.
- PROMOTE THE AD
-
Post the ad on your social media (for those with state associations or members – please tag your congressional delegation in your posthttp://www.tweetcongress.org/tweeters)
-
Sample National Group Post - More than 300 organizations are standing together to tell Congress: economic relief can’t wait.
-
Sample State Association Post - We’re calling on @[members of Congress handles]: our industry needs economic relief now. It can’t wait.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsbkNAwXGrA&feature=youtu.be
-
Email it to Members of Congress/staff on why you joined the coalition and the urgency for passing COVID relief package during the lame duck
-
Share with your organization’s members and encouraging them to share the video on their individual social platforms
-
Utilize earned media opportunities – here is a press release AHLA sent out today. Feel free to send out with a quote from your organization.
