Dear Gilpin Hall Family,
Yesterday afternoon we had to send a resident to the emergency department, where the resident tested positive for coronavirus. This resident remains hospitalized. We cannot be sure what will take place over the next few days or weeks, but we remain diligent in all efforts to minimize risk to other residents and staff.
We continue to follow all mandates and recommendations from the CDC and Delaware Public Health, and trust these efforts will lead us to the best possible outcome. We know that the inability to visit is extremely difficult and we thank you for your on-going support and cooperation.
We have been asked about Easter flowers and other items being delivered to the residents. Minimizing risk by any means possible requires that we do not accept any unnecessary deliveries to the facility. Sadly, this must also include deliveries related to Easter. We are still making appointments to Skype with your loved one, so please make an appointment or direct any questions you may have by emailing
