March 9, 2020
Dear Friend,

With news of a Wilton resident identified with a presumptive positive case of Coronavirus and in keeping with recommendations from local and state agencies, Wilton Library has decided to postpone or cancel all of its programming for the month of March.

Given the circumstances in our community, we are taking a proactive approach across the board by postponing or canceling programs. The library is the cultural and intellectual heart of this community, but we do not feel it is appropriate to encourage large scale gatherings at this time.

The building will remain open to patrons including the internet computers for people to be able to stay informed. The library custodial staff will continue to disinfect public surfaces daily; and hand sanitizers are stationary throughout the building.

We are here for people to utilize the services of the library on an individual basis. We only ask that people be considerate of others and if not feeling well, please be a hero and stay home.

If you are unable to come to the library, we have many downloadable and streaming digital resources to keep you up-to-date and entertained. They're free and available anytime with a Wilton Library card. Discover eAudiobooks, eBooks, eMagazines ; music, movies, TV shows ; online learning ; streaming classical music , online language-learning online databases and more.

Feel free to call our reference librarians at 203-762-6350 if you need any help with the above.

Sincerely,
Elaine Tai-Lauria
