Coronavirus Update

March 17, 2020

Dear Trinity Church Family,

As we have continued to receive updates and information regarding COVID-19, we want you to know that the health and safety of our congregation and community continue to be a concern and priority for us. For that reason, our Elders met again last night for a time of prayer and discussion, including reaffirming our commitment to adhere to recommendations made by the CDC and other national and local officials.

Due to the uncertainty and growing risk of the spread of the virus, and consistent with the recommendations of the Coronavirus National Task Force , our Elders have made the decision to suspend all corporate gatherings of our congregation for at least the next 15 days (i.e. through at least the end of March), including on-campus Sunday morning worship and adult classes, as well as all midweek gatherings (i.e. B2B, S2S, College, Student and Children’s Ministries, Family Shepherds, etc.).

We have not made this decision lightly, but we are confident it is the wise and right course of action at this time. Someone has rightly said, “A church isn’t a building you walk into, it’s a family you belong to.”  As much as we would love to continue to physically gather together at this time, we know that our worship, fellowship, and equipping for ministry isn’t confined to the walls of our buildings.

As you know, this is a dynamic and fluid situation that is changing every day. We will continue to monitor the situation and adhere to the recommendations of national and local health officials. As new information develops, we will keep you updated with answers to questions you may have. Here are a few questions we can address at this time:

How will we continue to worship together?
While we are not physically gathering as a congregation, we encourage you and your family to set aside time to worship in your home. To aid you in this, we will be streaming Sunday messages online. We will continue to worship through song as well as the preaching and teaching of God's Word.

Sundays, 8:45 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

How will we continue to fellowship and grow together?
We will also be streaming midweek B2B and S2S messages online. Watch for emails from specific ministry areas with more information as well as recommendations and resources to enrich this time together.

Wednesdays, 7:00 p.m.

Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m.
Thursdays, 9:00 a.m.

How should I respond to COVID-19?
Though situations like these can stir up fear and anxiety, God is sovereign over all things, and our ultimate hope is found in Jesus. Although we won’t be gathering for worship and other fellowship and equipping events, we encourage you to stay connected to our church body through calls, texts, and online engagement. Please continue to pray for those affected by this virus, and that this situation will cause hearts to open and respond to the Gospel.

For the most current updates, please continue to check your email. We encourage you to visit our website , download the TrinityCC App ( Apple or Android ) , and follow us on Facebook .

At this time, our building remains open during normal business hours (M-Th: 8:30-4:00, F: 8:30-3:30) and pastoral and administrative teams are working to continue to care for the needs of our congregation. While this situation is unprecedented, we are hopeful that each one of us will take opportunities to care for those around us with the love and compassion exemplified by our Lord Jesus Christ.

Trusting our gracious and faithful Lord,

The Elders, Deacons, and Staff
