Coronavirus Update from CHV
We’ve all been reading and hearing about COVID-19 (the “Coronavirus”) that is spreading worldwide. At Capitol Hill Village, we are continuing to monitor the situation closely, as our priority is the health and safety of our members, volunteers, staff and interns.
Tips to Stay Healthy and Safe

Practice good hand hygiene.
Wash your hands frequently. Spend at least 20 seconds rubbing hands together with soap and water.
Keep your sneeze to your self.
Cover your mouth with your elbow when you sneeze and cough.

Be mindful of personal space.
Maintain "social distance" of a few feet near people who show symptoms.

Hands off.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.

Get help.
Seek immediate medical attention if you are sick or symptomatic.
Stay calm.
Right now, the regular old flu is much more of a concern. If you haven't gotten your flu shot yet, it's not too late . Local drugstores and supermarkets are still offering it.
Check out the two resources below for Q&A and guidance about facts/myths, and what we all need to know right now.
Highlights from the WHO include the following guidance

Guidance on Surgical Masks : A mask should only be used by health workers, care takers, and individuals with respiratory symptoms, such as fever and cough.

Guidance on keeping Surfaces Clean : It is not certain how long the virus that causes COVID-19 survives on surfaces [sic]. If you think a surface may be infected, clean it with simple disinfectant to kill the virus and protect yourself and others.
