Dear TA Families,
The start of Spring Break is only three days away for Tuscaloosa Academy. We hope that you take this week to rest, relax and spend some time with your families. For any families traveling abroad, Tuscaloosa Academy will implement the plan recommended by the Alabama Department of Public Health and the CDC regarding travel to and from countries considered Level 3 in light of the developments of the Coronavirus COVID-19. You may visit the following link for more information:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/index.html
.
If your travel plans include traveling to countries deemed with Level 3 status, you must inform your child’s dean. This information is necessary so that TA may take precautions to protect the health and safety of the entire school population.
If a TA student or employee travels to a Level 3 area,
they must be excluded from school for the duration of the 14-day monitoring period.
If a TA student or employee travels to a Level 2 area, they should limit their interaction with others as much as possible,
but are not restricted from public places, including schools, as long as they remain asymptomatic.
Due to the fact that this is a quickly evolving situation, Tuscaloosa Academy is committed to being transparent with our families. Please continue to monitor the CDC and the Alabama Department of Public Health websites for the most current information. As we find out any additional information that may affect our school, I will keep you updated. Thank you and please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
