Alamitos Bay Foundation Fundraiser - THIS SATURDAY!!
Don't forget ... this Saturday is the Alamitos Bay Sailing Foundation's 3rd Annual Fundraiser from 5:30pm-8:30pm at ABYC. Click the flyer for all the updated details. This is a great way to support our ABYC Olympians: Riley Gibbs and Anna Weis. The auction list is still included below in the PDF downloads. Take a peek!

ABYC Manager, Rick Roberts shares a few words below regarding the coronavirus and how ABYC is managing the issue at hand. Yup, we even have to think of this thing at our venue. No, to those asking ... free Corona beer is not being given out at the bar ... it's more the wash your hands kinda thing! Please give it a read!

Our beloved Social Advisory Committee has added a new Club ABYC to the calendar for the month. Mark the 27th of March on your list for a fun filled evening with Mike Waugh and the Yacht Jocks . More details to follow ... but entertainment will go from 6:30-9:30pm, with the bar opening at 5:00pm and the bar menu being served. Should be a fun night with friends and family. Bring your crew and head on down to the club.

Also please remember, that due to the rain this week, your boats maybe under a bit of water, once it stops. Make sure to check on your boat covers and boat status when the sky ceases raining. Rick and the club staff always appreciate it when we do this!

Stay dry everyone!

Coronavirus Management at
Alamitos Bay Yacht Club

Dear Alamitos Bay Yacht Club Members,

Here at ABYC, we have been monitoring the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) issue. Our flag officers and management have already acted to prevent the spread of the virus, by directing the placement of liquid and hand wipe sanitizers throughout the facility. Signs have also been posted reminding individuals to frequently wash or sanitize their hands, and to avoid hand-to-hand contact with other individuals whenever possible.

We are also following the latest reports on the City of Long Beach Health and Human Services website, , as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website at, .

Our club staff have increased the frequency and level of cleaning not only in bathrooms and kitchens, but throughout the club. They have been instructed to wash their hands and use club-provided sanitizing wipes frequently. If a staff member feels ill, they have been told to inform club management and then go home to get well. They are not to return until they have recovered from their illness.

Should a member or staff member be diagnosed with COVID-19, we will contact the City of Long Beach Health and Human Services Department for instructions as to what action they want us to take.

We thank our ABYC family for your patience and understanding in this current health situation and remind you to wash your hands often and try to limit physical contact with others.

Thank you,

Rick Roberts
ABYC Club Manager
