NEW GROOMING APP FOR FERNIE!

NEW Grooming APP for Fernie Launched

The Winter Grooming Collaborative is testing a new APP to track trail grooming around Fernie. This will help all trail users see live grooming and latest grooming to plan their day of fun and recreation.

The collaborative is working hard to help all groomers track their work in the App, so please note that checking trail organization grooming pages and social channels is still a key source of this information as well.

The collaborative chose Nordic Pulse for its grooming App sponsored by Tourism Fernie. You can download the App for free via the Apple Store or Google Play.

PLEASE help support the groomers on the trails as many are volunteer and work hard to make our winter trails amazing. Adhere to signage and have fun!

SURVEYS & INDUSTRY UPDATES

Essential data collection informs and guides future decision making...

As part of our ongoing efforts to collect useable statistics and data, Tourism Fernie engages in and supports various surveys throughout the year. You are invited to take or share the following surveys:

TOURISM FERNIE SURVEYS

Currently, our Winter Visitor Survey is being conducted online and is open to all visitors including long term visitors and 2nd homeowners. Tent cards have been placed in guest rooms at lodgings and coffee shops throughout Fernie. The survey will run until April 14th, 2025 and five participants will win a gift certificate to a local retailer via random draws throughtout the season.

Additionally, we are conducting a Winter Grooming Survey in person on the trails. This survey is open to all trail users, including local residents, and we encourage you to share the survey with your staff and guests.

EXTERNAL SURVEYS

Destination BC invites BC-based tourism businesses to participate in the first-ever province-wide Tourism Climate Adaptation & Environmental Sustainability Business Survey! Take the survey HERE.

This 5-10 minute survey, provides the opportunity to help inform climate adaptation and environmental sustainability program needs and our path forward, together. This survey should be completed by one person per business who is familiar with operational practices in climate adaptation and environmental sustainability. Participants will be entered into a draw for an entry pass to a BC tourism conference.

SEE YOU NEXT SEASON is conducting a couple of surveys to better understand understaffing, employee no shows, early leaves, and staff retention in ski towns. Seasonal workers can complete the survey HERE, and employers can complete the survey HERE. All employers who complete the survey will receive the results.

Province Announces Launch of Short-term Rental Registry - REGISTRATION REQUIRED
