Corporate Fasting and Prayer

Beginning January 4th, 2022 - February 28th, 2022 the Agape family we will fast for approximately 56 days (total) to gain healthier spiritual and physical lives. During this time we will focus on receiving instruction and direction for 2022. The fast will occur in two phases.

Phase 1: January 4th, 2022

We will NOT eat anything from the list below. If you have a question about eating a particular food item, perhaps you should consider not eating it. The intent in the phase is not looking for loopholes that allow us to straddle the fence on the decision to stop eating particular foods. (Discipline)

NO baked goods- any item that may be found in the bakery or that is considered a baked good or pastry.

The list below will not cover every single food but serves as a guideline!

Examples:

-NO breads

-Cakes

-Cookies

-Pastries

-Pies

-Donuts

Phase 2: February 1st, 2022

During this phase we are adding FRIED foods to the fast. Therefore, during this phase we will NOT be eating any baked goods AND NO FRIED foods. The intent in the phase is the same as in Phase 1, we are not looking for loopholes that allow us to staddle the fence on the decision to stop eating particular foods.

Options to cook meats and vegetables:

-Baking in the oven

-Broiling in the oven

-Grilling

-Pan Searing

-Steaming

Use any method to prepare your food that does NOT involve frying it in oil!

Examples:

-NO Fried Meats

-NO Fried Potatoes

-NO FRIED anything!

With the invention of “air fryers” that don’t require any or very little oil to FRY, we recommend that you ask the Holy Spirit to guide your use of this cooking tool during our corporate fast.

Fasting is a faith-move intended to draw us closer to God so that He draws closer to us by His Spirit. PRAYER is the vehicle that fuels or powers our fasting so that the intended purpose is fulfilled.

Finally, there are few medical conditions that require that you follow a certain way of eating. Please also know that some medical conditions recommend against fasting so please consult your physician.
