Corporate Cox Farms
Corporate Spotlight

On October 5th,  residents of the  Barros Circle community took a trip to Cox Farms to enjoy fun slides, adorable animals, and an awesome hayride.  It was a time of fun, fellowship and unforgettable memories.

FACETS is grateful to Cox Farms - a family owned and operated farm since 1972 - whose generous donation of admission tickets made this trip possible.  Additionally, Cox Farms provided kettle corn, fresh apple cider, and pumpkins that were used for the Barros Circle Halloween Party!
Food Drive

We need you! You can help individuals and families in our community have a memorable Thanksgiving by providing a basket of  non-perishable food items  and a $25 grocery store gift card which will be used to purchase a turkey. This list will assist you with shopping.  You may also visit our webpage for more details.

Please drop off your donations at FACETS' main office, 10640 Page Avenue, Suite 300 Fairfax, VA 22030 by Wednesday, November 30, 2016.

Cooked Turkeys are also needed to support those who received a daily meal through our Hot Meals program.  If you are able to provide a cooked turkey to be dropped off at one of our partnering congregations on Thanksgiving morning, please contact D'Ivonne Holman, Volunteer Manager, by Friday, November 18, 2016. We are in need of a total of 10. These turkeys are expected to feed between 40 - 50 people on Thanksgiving day.

Halloween Party
Captain America!
A Halloween celebration took place at each of our community centers this year. We had the pleasure of welcoming Therapeutic Alliance as the host for our Wedgewood Community Center party. With a haunted house theme, fun outdoor games, and lots of candy to fill those plastic pumpkins, their party was one to remember.  Thank you Therapeutic Alliance for an amazing party with our residents and for your support of people in need in our community.  We had a great time.

S.P.A. Day with Parkwood Baptist Church
Parkwood Baptist Church team
On Saturday Oct 8th, the Parkwood Baptist congregation assembled emergency kits as they participated in  S.P.A. Day. In celebration of their 50th anniversary, Parkwood began organizing days of service - giving their members an opportunity to serve in practical ways.

The emergency kits assembled will truly serve as a tremendous resource. Thank you for your support!
