Dear Parents,

What a wonderful Catholic Schools celebration we enjoyed last week! There are so many elements of our school that make it a wonderful place - our students, parents, faculty, staff, priests, and the entire parish community!

Bible Verse of the Month
Our Bible verse focus for the month of February is M atthew 6:33.

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

Our prayer focus is the Act of Contrition.

"O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because of Thy just punishments, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of si n."
The Month of the Holy Family
February is the month of the Holy Family. Check out the following article for some great ideas to practice with your family:

Also feel free to print out the attached 12 February ideas for Catholic Families.

American Heart Association
Corpus Christi participated in the American Heart Association obstacle course as a way to raise money for the heart association. Our students raised $1427.67 with their donations! Way to go, Cougars!
"Just 25" - A is for Africa
From our sister school, Matim Primary:

“Alone we can do little, together we can do so much” ~ Helen Keller

"We are so excited to report on Sister School Corpus Christi Catholic School’s first "Just 25" campaign. Each student was encouraged to donate 25 cents to the students at their sister school, Matim Primary, in Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa. With an enrollment of approximately 450 students, a 25 cent donation would have collected $112.50, but the results are in…wait for it - $264.14 was collected!!! We are so proud of the students and Principal Mrs. Kristy Martin and her staff for this awesome first month. Thank you for your generosity and kindness to these Maasai children and their families."(Photo of Mrs. Yasinta Peter handing out porridge cups to Matim kindergartners.)
We are so proud of the spirit of giving among our students and families. During our recent Math-a-Thon our students raised more than $4,000 for the patients at St. Jude Hospital.
