The mission of Corpus Christi Catholic School is to nurture every child by providing the opportunities to grow in faith, achieve academic success, and serve others as disciples of Jesus
March 11, 2019
Dear Parents,

Thank you to all who were able to join us last week as we participated in Ash Wednesday services. As we begin this Lenten journey toward a greater union with Christ, we hope to strengthen our faith through devoted practices of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. You are welcome to join us for Stations of the Cross each Friday during Lent at 2:15 p.m. Check out the 40 Lenten Activities for Catholic Families for some ideas you can put into place together as a family during this Lenten season.
Bible Verse of the Month
Our Bible verse focus for the month of March is John 14:6

Jesus answered, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Our prayer focus is The Apostle’s Creed:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen

Lenten Fish Fry
Our first PTO Friday Night Fish Fry was a success!

Our PTO supports the mission of the school by helping to fund various needs of our school including technology, recreational, educational, and building maintenance projects. The weekly Lenten Fish Fry is one of their biggest fundraisers. They are in need of volunteers, so please consider choosing a week to help out!

Funds for Nurse Sandy Daigle
Our school nurse, Mrs. Sandy Daigle, has been taking care of the health needs of students at Corpus Christi since 2000. As many of you are aware, she is currently battling cancer. Unfortunately, she has had to miss much work due to her cancer treatments and the side effects she is enduring from those treatments. This lapse in working has created a financial hardship for Mrs. Daigle, along with the personal financial obligation to ensure continued insurance coverage.  Our teachers hosted a bake sale and Split the Pot Raffle at the fish fry Friday evening. Through the generosity of our school parents and parishioners, these two endeavors were very successful in raising funds for Mrs. Daigle. Thank you to all who supported these activities!
Red Ribbon Project
As part of her duties as our school’s 2018-2019 Red Ribbon leader, Anna Grace Sparks has organized a school-wide project. Please see the details below. We are proud of Anna Grace and the leadership she has given to our students in promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
