The mission of Corpus Christi Catholic School is to nurture every child by providing the opportunities to grow in faith, achieve academic success, and serve others as disciples of Jesus
Dear Parents,

Living on the Gulf Coast, we are all too aware of the devastation that hurricanes can cause. Our thoughts and prayers have been with our Florida neighbors as they endure the effects of Hurricane Michael. Many have lost everything they own. Through Catholic Social Services, our Archdiocese is currently collecting goods to assist those who reside in areas that were devastated by the storm. Please see the flyer below for items that are requested. You may drop items off at Catholic Social Services, located at 188 South Florida Street. For your convenience, you may also drop off your donations in our school office and we will make sure they are delivered to Catholic Social Services.

Parent Conferences and Report Cards
Report card conferences will be held this evening (10/22) from 4:00-6:30. If you would like to speak with your child's teacher, middle school teachers will be available in the banquet hall and Kindergarten-fifth grade teachers will be available in their classrooms. This should be a brief conference. If you feel you need more time to meet with a teacher, please let them know and they will be glad to schedule a separate conference with you on another day.

For your convenience this first quarter, report cards will be available to be pick up in the atrium from 2:00-6:30. If you would rather print your report card at home, you may log onto Rediker, choose e-locker from the bar of options at the top of the screen, and then click on the e-portfolio tab. If you try to print from the report card tab on Rediker, it will just print a generic grade report. It is not our actual report card.

The first quarter awards ceremony will be held immediately following Mass on Tuesday, 10/23. Honor Roll and Principal List awards will be given in grades 4-8. In addition, Christian Attitude recipients for grades K-8 will be recognized during Mass.

If you ever have any questions about the school, or any issues you need to discuss, please either contact Mrs. Martin or one of our SAC members – that is why we are here!

We are looking to start a robotics program at Corpus Christi beginning next fall (August 2019). This team would compete in the BEST Jubilee contest in October 2019. Students in grades 6th – 8th are eligible to join the team.  There will be a meeting on Thursday, November 1 at 5:30 p.m. (in Mr. Stoyka’s classroom) for parents who are interested in learning more about the BEST program. The Hub Director of Jubilee BEST Robotics will be there to explain the program and answer any questions that you have. Parents of 5th – 7th graders are invited to attend! Contact Stephanie Gillis at sgillis@corpuschristiparish.com if you plan to attend the meeting or if you have any general questions.
Safety - School Safety Zone
Ms. Voncille Smith, who directs our traffic, has requested that parents please remember to use your blinker when at the intersection of McKenna and Hillcrest. This needs to be done when entering and exiting the school, as it helps her to better safely direct our traffic flow. In addition, I ask that all drivers be mindful of our teachers on duty that are directing traffic on our campus. It is necessary to stop traffic in the morning and afternoons in order for our children to arrive and depart school safely. If you are asked to stop, it is for the safety of our children. Please be observant and respectful of all that are on duty.
