This newsletter corrects two links: 1) Taste of California “Get the cheeses" and 2) Cheese O’Clock "Italian All-Stars" Zoom registration. In addition, in the time since this newsletter went out last week, I received two additional links, which are now below. They will connect you with the wine packages for Cheese O'Clock "Italian All Stars" and "Aged to Perfection." The other two wine package links are still to come. Please check my website event page for further updates.
I hope this new year finds you happy and well. While we still remain tied to our computers more than we do to our outside-the-bubble friends and family, I'd like to think we’re headed toward togetherness sooner rather than later. Let's hope. For now, let's make the most of it by celebrating with three decidedly tasty and cheesy events coming up in the next few weeks. Cheese and chocolate pairing, anyone? How about a lively discussion with three winemakers, three wines, three cheeses, and, well, me? And wait for it - Cheese O’Clock is returning for yet another series featuring magnificent cheeses and wines, this time from around the world, and some very special guests alongside. Tickets, sign-ups, cheeses, chocolates, wines – find all the delicious details below.

Events aren't the only things going on in cheeseland. National Culinary Review asked me to weigh in on the best melting cheeses. And so I did. Find that list here. And finally, I hope you'll take a moment to read my article about new and traditional Spanish sheep's milk cheeses. The cheesemaking that's going on in that beautiful country is nothing short of magnifica.

What better way to spend a wintry Sunday than to go on a 'round the world cheese and chocolate tasting journey? Join Delysia Chocolatier owner Nicole Patel and me as we give you the lowdown on four specially selected cheeses and chocolates and explain why they're so dang good together.
I promise - you do not want to miss this very special opportunity to get together with one of America's best chocolatiers and me(!) to indulge and enjoy.
January 29, 2021, 4:00pm PT/ 7pm ET

Please join me for this very rare opportunity to taste wines and cheeses with three California wine and cheese luminaries –Randy Ullom, Kendall-Jackson winemaster, winemaker Jill Russell from Cambria, and Cheese Specialist Tracey Shepos Cenami from La Crema. I have selected three standout California cheeses to pair with the wines, so we’ll not only have an embarrassment of riches on our plates and in our glasses, but we’ll also have the experts right there to answer your questions about the wines as well as weigh in on these pairings and any other cheese and wine pairing questions you may have. I can think of no better way to spend an hour. Trust me – this is a tasting you will remember for a long time to come.

The cheeses
Cypress Grove "Humboldt Fog"

Vella Cheese Company "Dry Jack Reserve"
