Hear Our Voices, The Embracing Autism Evening

We are excited to invite you to our upcoming event, Embracing Autism, Hear Our Voices Evening, on March 26th at River Oaks Country Club. Sponsorship opportunities are available now and tables are selling fast.

Please join us as we come together with our friends and community to honor Dr. Peter Hotez, our Medical Honoree, and Amy Pierce, our Community Advocate Honoree. Additionally, we will be featuring special entertainment- singer songwriters Brice Long, Phillip White, and Marla Cannon-Goodman. Episcopal High School Seniors Annual Project at Avondale House

Avondale House was honored to host Episcopal High School seniors back for the 8th year in a row. Each year, a group of seniors comes to Avondale House to complete two weeks of service. They work with students to gain experience in a school and non-profit setting.

This year's project was quite modified due to COVID protocols but the students gave it their all nonetheless. Thank you EHS seniors!
Team Avondale House Rocks!

We are so proud of Team Avondale House for crushing the Chevron Houston Marathon and 5k this weekend! Collectively, the team has raised $32,070 for Avondale's services and programs. Please join us in celebrating their accomplishments.

Alex's Gifts to Bluegate

Over the holidays, Avondale House resident, Alex, wanted to surprise his housemates with something special. He's always loved puppets and uses his own puppet as part of his expressive language. This holiday season he wanted to share that joy. Alex chose a puppet for each member of his Bluegate household, picking out the perfect puppets for each one of his friends.
Team Member of the Month: Joseph Cooper
Joseph Cooper is Avondale's Team Member of the Month! Although he's a member of our school's team, the leadership team would like to show their appreciation for his assistance in Avondale's Residential Program.

Not only has he supported Avondale House with his flexibility and willingness to jump in to help, but Joseph has a great rapport with clients and is an awesome addition to his classroom team.

2021 GDUSA American Graphic Award

We're thrilled to announce that the Avondale House website won a 2021 GDUSA American Graphic Award from Graphic Design USA (GDUSA). GDUSA is the American Lawyer for the design industry.
