COMMUNITY, HERITAGE, & CULTURAL ARTS

Please join us Thursday, October 12, 2:00 - 3:30 PM ET, for the national release of Arts & Economic Prosperity 6 (AEP6), Americans for the Arts’ new economic impact study of the nation’s nonprofit arts and culture organizations

and its audiences.

During this LIVE virtual event, we’ll debut the latest economic and social impact findings gathered in partnership with 373 regions from across all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

Not only will you be the first to learn the highly anticipated national impact numbers, but you’ll hear from arts partner communities, elected officials, artists, and national strategic partners about how and why this study is vital to the work they do in building stronger communities.

The AEP6 Launch event will be hosted by Rita Moreno

the legendary multi-award-winning actress, singer, dancer,

and civil rights activist.

Sign up to participate in the Town of La Plata's Veterans Parade Veteran's Day Parade. Registration closes this Friday, October 13th. No late applications will be accepted.

About the Charles County Arts Alliance, Inc.

The mission of the Charles County Arts Alliance (CCAA) is to stimulate, promote, encourage, and provide recognition of the arts and the creative spirit. Founded in 1987, the CCAA promotes ALL the arts in Charles County: music, visual art, drama, dance and literature.

The CCAA is the official arts council of Charles County and is recognized as such by the Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC), an agency of the Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED) of the State of Maryland. In this capacity, the CCAA serves as the "umbrella" organization for the arts community in Charles County. The CCAA promotes Charles County arts organizations and individuals, provides financial support to nonprofit organizations and the schools through its annual arts grant programs, sponsors the creation and presentation of new, diverse cultural activities and special events for the community, provides arts scholarships, and ensures the Charles County's under-served population, people with disabilities, residents with limited income, minorities, and senior citizens have access to the arts. The CCAA builds partnerships with local government, the business community and the educational community, in an effort to enhance the overall quality of life for the citizens of Charles County.
