It’s hard to believe the month of March will soon be upon us! This monthly newsletter is an opportunity to take a moment to reflect on the challenges of educating students in the midst of a pandemic and more importantly on the good and hard work our district staff have put in to get to this point. Certainly, without the efforts of everyone pulling together we would not have experienced the success of our students receiving both in-person instruction as well as the dedication by our teaching staff that have stepped up and into a new role of offering virtual instruction.
Please take notice of several calendar reminders beginning in March and continuing through the remainder of the current school year. Beginning with Monday, March 29, 2021, the District will observe a week-long spring break, and classes for all students will resume on Monday, April 5, 2021. As always, upon our return from spring break, there is no doubt the remainder of the school year will be fast paced, and I look forward to informing you about some of the traditional end-of-year activities such as scholarship night and of course graduation, which is scheduled for Friday, May 28, 2021.
The winter sports season has been one of success for our student-athletes. For the sixth year in a row, our WDHS girls basketball team captured another SCC title.
