You may want to consider sending a news release – a written communication directed at community members for the purpose of announcing something ostensibly newsworthy.

When your news release is posted it will receive community exposure on our website.

2021 Tourism Marketing Grant
Grant applications are due by June 1, 2021!

Since 2013, the Chamber has enjoyed granting money to events held in Hutchinson hosted by nonprofits and for-profits. These grants help cover the expense of marketing that covers a radius outside the Hutchinson area for the event. These events help the Chamber bring more people to our beautiful and welcoming community – there really is #MuchInHutch!

Tell your friends, co-workers, committees, and organizations about the Chamber’s Tourism Marketing Grant. We love to help events as they help us and increase the traffic and awesomeness of Hutchinson!

Business of the Month

The Compass Occasions story started during a
12-day road trip from San Francisco to Seattle. Making their way way along the coastal highway & imagining what creating a company of their own would look like. Thinking and analyzing how could they make it happen.

6 years later, Compass Occasions has evolved into a multidimensional coordinating and design company. Last September, they expanded to a new venue, Art’s Place. Located in downtown Hutchinson, Art’s Place is a history rich venue that provides intimate spaces for meetings and events. In addition to offering an event venue, their company specializes in coordinating Weddings, Non-profit fundraisers, and corporate events.

Fun Facts:
-The idea for Compass Occasions started on a trip, they have since traveled to 10 states and 2 countries together.

-Kayla and Valerie met while working together at Zella's.
