GOLF OUTING IS FUN "FORE" ALL!
The Chamber's annual golf outing was held on September 29th at the beautiful Weymouth Country Club. Golfers enjoyed a fun day at the 48th annual golf outing even though no one won the Hole in One Contests. Dr. Neil Sika, Golf Outing Committee Chairman would like to thank Ganley Buick GMC, sponsor of the Hole in One contests, Shoreline Logistics and Southwest General the Lunch Sponsors, all of the Hole Sponsors, those who donated door prizes and Weymouth Country Club for making it a successful day.

The Chamber will hold its annual election of Trustees during the month of November. Beginning November 1st ballots will be available at the Chamber office and also at the November 15
th breakfast. The following slate of candidates has been approved to appear on the ballot. Eight positions are to be filled for a three year term commencing January 1, 2017:
DONNA BERNSDORF:
Donna is a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch and has been in the industry since 2010. She has an Associate degree, a series 7 license, series 66 license and a CPRC® certification in Financial Planning. Donna is an entrepreneur, active in community organizations such as The Women in Business Committee of the Strongsville Chamber, The Cleveland Animal Protective League and Breakthrough Schools. Donna is also a professional musician who had a regional hit in the 80's with her all girl band Lipstick. When not in her "daytime" role, you can still find her on the weekends playing keyboards and singing with "That 80's Band".
WALTER EHRNFELT III
:
Walter is a lifelong resident of Strongsville, graduating from Strongsville High School and Wittenberg University. His wife, Annette, is a teacher in the Strongsville Schools. Walter and Annette are the parents of three children, all of whom are Strongsville High graduates. Walter is a shareholder in the law firm of Waldheger-Coyne.
Nick was born and raised in Strongsville until the age of ten. He attended Bowling Green University and studied Construction Management. Nick worked in Construction before being hired by Paul Davis Restoration in 2006. He has been with the company for the past ten years and became owner in 2013. Work brought him back to Strongsville four years ago when the company moved from Brunswick. Nick resides in Medina and enjoys spending time with his wife, Sheena and daughter Emma. When he is not working he enjoys being outdoors golfing or attending sporting events.
CHARLES GOSS:
Charles has been a lifelong, four generation resident of Strongsville. He is married to Debbie and has two children, Chad, 19 and Hallie 17. Charles is a 1985 graduate of Baldwin-Wallace University (Business Administration/Criminal Justice) and the 170th Session of the F.B.I. National Academy. He served the City of Strongsville as a Police Officer for 34 years including 16 as Chief of Police. Charles is currently the Director of Public Safety for the City of Strongsville. As a member of the local government team Charles Goss has a deep appreciation for the importance of a strong business community. Charles serves as the Chamber of Commerce Homecoming Parade Chairman and is also a member of the Strongsville City Club.
GEORGE JARDINE:
George is a long time Chamber member, Trustee and former President of the Strongsville Chamber of Commerce. Jardine Funeral Home has been a member of the Strongsville Chamber of Commerce since 1953. George's father, Millar Jardine, is a past member and served as President of the Strongsville Chamber of Commerce in 1956. George is the second generation of the family business and has spent his entire professional career with the family business. His family consists of wife Sandi, son Jason, his wife Crystal and their three children, daughter Joni and son-in-law Mario that have five children. George and Sandi, Jason, Crystal and Joni are all graduates of Strongsville High School. George plays a role in numerous Strongsville functions, some of which are the Strongsville Homecoming, Rib Burn-Off and Breakfast on the Covered Bridge. He is also a member of the Strongsville City Club. George, his wife Sandi and his family have been actively involved in the city of Strongsville and plan on continuing their commitment in the future.
ROBERT KALFAS:
Bob has resided in Strongsville for more than 30 years with his wife, Andrea. Bob and his family consists of his daughters, Cortney, Samantha, and Beth, and her husband Chris and their 2 children Robert and Layla. Bob Kalfas is the owner of R.A. Kalfas Construction and a member of the Chamber of Commerce. One of the more recent projects was renovating the Dr. Allessio eye clinic in Berea. Bob volunteers in many Strongsville community activities. Some of his volunteer efforts includes helping build Pat Catan Stadium, and volunteering as a tent manager during the Annual Strongsville Homecoming. Bob is a past president of the Strongsville Chamber of Commerce.
Doug was a resident of Strongsville for 28 years. He currently resides in Berea, OH. Doug served as Chamber president in 2003, 2004, and 2005 and has been a Trustee for more than 23 years. He is currently the chairman of the Homecoming Sponsorship Committee, as well as co-chairman of the Holiday Scholarship Dance Committee. He is married to Connie and they have three children - Alanna, Colton and Madison. Doug is the owner of ACM Signs & Graphics.
Scott and his wife Vicki have lived in Strongsville for twelve years and have two sons, David and Andrew, who attend the Strongsville schools. Scott is a Senior Project Manager at Pyramid Solutions, Inc., a strategic business partner of IBM. Prior to this, Scott worked in a variety of leadership positions in financial services for more than 20 years. Scott served on Strongsville City Council and the Strongsville School Board for a combined 9 years. Scott has also enjoyed giving his time to the Homecoming Festival, Cub Scout Pack 226, the Strongsville United Methodist Church, the Strongsville Historical Society, the Strongsville Rotary, and the Echo Lake and Lenox Creek Homeowner Association boards.
ROBERT McGRATH
:
Bob is the owner of Olympia Sweet Treats & Grill on Pearl Road. He has cultivated strong ties with local companies, schools, churches, and sports teams by collaborating on fund raising projects, supplying corporate gifts, coaching youth teams, and volunteerism through the Chamber of Commerce and Strongsville City Club. He has been an active member of the Chamber board for over 20 years, and serves on the Homecoming Committee. Bob and his wife Celia live in Strongsville, and his children have attended Strongsville City Schools. In 2008, Celia and Bob received the Key to the City in acknowledgement of their contributions to Strongsville. Bob is a member of the Greater Cleveland Convention and Visitor's Bureau, the Greater Cleveland Growth Association, COSE, and the Strongsville City Club.
Jeff has lived and worked in Strongsville since 1990 with his wife Stephanie. Jeff has three children, the youngest now attends Strongsville High School. He has been a Homecoming Tent Manager since 1998 and serves as the chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee, and has served as the vice-president and president of the Strongsville Chamber of Commerce. Jeff has been a realtor since 1998, and works with RE/MAX Crossroads at SouthPark Center. His hobbies include golf and travel

Voting for Trustees will close at 12:00 noon on Thursday, November 17th.
The annual meeting will be held later that evening to finalize the Board elections and to elect officers for next year.
