Happy birthday, SI Chico! Soroptimist International of Chico was founded on January 11, 1930. This Wednesday we will be celebrating 91 Years! We have had many amazing women in our club over the years. I am so grateful that we are still carrying on the traditions of giving back to our community and improving the lives of women and girls.

I’m pleased to announce Motion 19 passed. SI Chico will be donating $5,000 to the ARC of Butte County to help refurbish, renovate, and improve the playground so it will be accessible to children of all abilities. Even through COVID lockdowns and quarantines, our club has continued to support many wonderful organizations in our community. Thank you for your continued support and participation throughout the club year!

The Nominating Committee consists of three individuals - one selected by the President, one selected by the Board, and one selected by Membership. The Nominating Committee will recommend the slate of officers for next year, which will be presented to the club in March and voted on at the April Business Meeting.

Answer: My 6^th grade report card said I was too bossy. I think I was able to take from that and learn how to be an effective leader in my profession. I’m good at being a grandma because I enjoy playing and having adventures with my grandkids.

Answer: I like to spend time with my family, reading, gardening, hiking, trying new recipes, and attending concerts (maybe again someday).

Answer: Sunny and cool. Being outside, walking along a stream, hearing my grandchildren laugh.
