2027 Dues Renewal

Please remind your chapter members of the following information regarding 2027 dues:

Invoices for 2027 PTG member dues will be delivered to your email inbox and available for online payment on November 2. Make sure your e-mail address is correct by logging into www.ptg.org and clicking on PTG Members > My Portal on the portal page, click on the person image in the upper right corner and select My Profile. Learn how to update your login information at my.ptg.org/help/userfaq. If people don’t see their invoices in their email inboxes, they should check their Spam/Junk folders (Gmail users should also check all tabs if they are utilizing the tabbed inbox view) or contact the Home Office. Dues for 2027 are $385.00 USD (plus chapter dues, if applicable).

Paying online is quick and easy. When an invoice is ready to be paid, a small red number “1” will appear on the bell image in the upper right corner. Click on the bell and a link to your invoice will appear. Note: Chapter dues must be paid in full but if you’d like to set up monthly installment payments for the PTG portion please contact the Home Office at 913-432-9975 before December 31, 2026. Monthly installments that were set up for 2026 will automatically continue in 2027 as long as a valid credit card has been saved to your account. If you need to change your payment method, please contact us prior to October 15, 2026. Paper invoices will only be mailed to those who do not have an e-mail address on file.

2027 MTNA

Staffing a booth at the annual Music Teacher National Association (MTNA) convention each year is a great opportunity for us to meet current clients of PTG members and provide referrals to those who stop by our booth looking for a technician. We also get a lot of requests from visitors about piano technology as a profession. Ask your teacher clients to drop by and tell us that they use a PTG member to service their piano. Visit the Teacher Resource Area at www.ptg.org to find materials developed especially for teachers.

A change in Home Office staff!

Long time staffer, Sandy Roady, will be retiring this month. As of October 31st, the new contact for all things membership and Convention will be Sara Geringer. Also new at the Home Office is our new Administrative Assistant, Jacqui Kremer. Read more about them on the PTG > About > Staff page.

Promote Your Chapter, State or Regional Training Event

Did you know PTG will help you promote your event? We'll post it on our Event calendar and send out up to two blast emails to the PTG member groups of your choice. Seminar Approval Forms can be completed online or downloaded and e-mailed to Danni Altman-Newell at the Home Office.

PTGF Scholarships

The Piano Technicians Guild Foundation (PTGF) offers ten leadership scholarships each year to PTG members who hold office in their local PTG chapters as president, vice president, secretary, or treasurer. The scholarships provide individual recipients with an exam voucher to cover the applicant’s choice of either the PTG technical examination or the PTG tuning examination. Apply here for the leadership scholarship.

The PTGF also offers scholarships each year to members intending to take their final RPT examination during the current year’s PTG Annual Convention & Institute. The scholarships provide individual recipients with funds for the convention member registration fee, as well as examination fees to cover the applicant’s choice of either the PTG Technical examination or the PTG Tuning examination. Up to eight scholarships are awarded annually. Applications are due by April 30, 2027. Apply here for the convention scholarship.

Scheduling an RPT Written Exam
