MEMBERSHIP

To reserve your seats for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, the deadline to register is September 1, 2026.  If you have already renewed your membership, there is no additional charge for seats. If you are not a member and would like to daven with us,  there is a fee of $400.

ELUL DAVENING PRIMER

Tonight, we begin saying “L’Dovid” after Aleinu at Maariv. The minhag of the shul is to go straight to L’Dovid after Aleinu and only then say the Kaddish Yasom (mourner’s Kaddish). Likewise in the mornings, we have the usual Kaddish after Aleinu but not after the Shir Shel Yom. Instead, we’ll continue with Tekias Shofar, then L’Dovid and then Kaddish. Tomorrow (1 Elul/Rosh Chodesh), we’ll go straight from the Shir Shel Yom to Borchi Nashi (Rosh Chodesh), Tekias Shofar, L’Dovid and only then Kaddish Yasom.

KIDDUSH LEVANA DELAYED

The earliest time to do Kiddush Levana each month is 72 hours after the Molad. For this month (Elul), that comes out to around 11pm (LA time) this Motzei Shabbos. Since our davening will have concluded long before then, we will delay Kiddush Levana until next Motzei Shabbos. The latest time to perform Kiddush Levana for the month of Elul is Wednesday night August 26^th.

ELUL ZMAN BEGINS

We welcome back all of our Avreichim who may have been away during parts of Bein Hazmanim. All LINK classes and Chavrusos will return to the normal schedule beginning this Sunday. Rabbi Brander will be returning later in the upcoming week.
