FSPA Moments in Time
We are celebrating Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration Mildred Tigges for her 70 years of religious life that included serving as a junior high school teacher in Guam. She was there when Typhoon Karen changed the landscape of her ministry. "I learned that you don't run away from a challenge; we were in this together," she recalls in the Spring 2014 Perspectives magazine story "Serving as Franciscans: taking bold risks yesterday, today and tomorrow" (scroll down to page 10).
Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration Maryam Gossling recently shared a small gallery of her work — her ministry of art, beauty and joy that has included iconography, celtic designs, indigenous art and printmaking — at St. Rose Convent.
