Spring into Health
With the first day of spring right around the corner, it's the perfect time to start planning community events to get residents outside and moving in the warmer weather. Whether you're considering holding a race, walk, health fair, or employee wellness day, we're here to help. Let the HEAL staff know if you have an upcoming event that you would like to brand or promote with the HEAL Campaign. For help getting started, check out this  Health Fair Planning Guide  and step-by-step resource on organizing a 5-K race.
Attention Maryland Municipalities
This June, the HEAL Campaign will recognize Maryland HEAL cities and towns at the  Maryland Municipal League (MML) Summer Conference in Ocean City. The MML Summer Conference is an opportunity for the HEAL Campaign to recognize and promote local governments' HEAL achievements and new Campaign members. As cities and towns pass new HEAL policies, they can advance to higher levels of recognition - Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

To apply for a new recognition level, please complete your application by Friday, May 25th to be recognized at the upcoming MML Summer Conference. If you are applying to become a NEW HEAL city or town, please send in your application by Monday, May 21st as we need more time to prepare your new member plaque in time for the conference.

For information  and resources on HEAL policies and the recognition process, visit our website or contact our HEAL Program Manager Sydney Daigle at Sdaigle@institutephi.org or 240-253-1036.
