Last Friday was a foggy day in Olympia when WA STEM co-presented a work session to the Senate Higher Education and Workforce Development Committee. On topic were several bills related to establishing regional apprenticeship programs and removing financial barriers to higher education.

With the 2023 legislative session underway, our Policy Director Jayme Shoun invites you to learn more about our legislative priorities on our website. She said, "We're excited about emerging legislation that supports removing barriers to dual credit, investments in early learning, and innovative strategies for students transitioning from high school to postsecondary."

If you want to stay up to date, you can join the Washington STEM Advocacy Coalition for weekly email updates and zoom calls and follow relevant legislation as it moves through the process on our bill tracker.
