Town Council Meeting Canceled; Special Town Council Meeting Called for tonight, January 10 at 6:00 p.m.

The Tuesday, January 10, 2023, Regular Town Council Meeting at 6:30 pm has been cancelled due to the potential impacts of the current extreme weather cycle, including power outages and flooding.


All agenda items are continued to the February 1, 2023 Town Council Meeting.


A Special Town Council Meeting will be held tonight at 6:00 p.m. on Zoom only to adopt a Resolution confirming the existence of a local emergency.


There will be no physical location for this meeting.

Wind and flood advisories in effect through Tuesday afternoon


The latest weather report calls for showers and possibly a thunderstorm today and this evening. Avoid unnecessary travel when possible.

Stay away from downed power lines and report power outages


Last night/early morning brought more intense storm activity - including 70+ mph wind gusts & lightning strikes.


Approx. 189k customers are w/out power. Where safe, crew will begin the restoration process. Residents can view PG&E's power outage map or report a new outage online.


Assume downed power lines are energized and dangerous. Stay away from the lines and keep others away from them. Call 9-1-1 immediately to report the location of a downed line. After reporting the downed line, call PG&E at 1-800-743-5000.

Sand, bags, and shovels are available for Fairfax residents at the Skate Park (Pavilion Parking Lot).
