Fill the Outreach Baskets In April we’re collecting for Forever Family, an organization that works with children whose parents are incarcerated. One of their most important programs taking the kids to visit their parents and we’re collecting snack items to make that trip more palatable: individually wrapped cheese (cheddar squares or string cheese), individual packets of nuts ( no peanuts but they love almonds, walnuts, cashews), Slim Jims.  If you are interested in sharing God’s love and volunteering through the Fill the Outreach Baskets ministry or have any questions about donations, please contact the Rev. Horace L. Griffin ( horace@stlukesatlanta.org ).

5th Grade Celebration
Members of our 5th grade Sunday School class will celebrate the culmination of their time in Children’s Ministries on Sunday, May 12 at 10:15 a.m.  Each child is recognized with the presentation of a Bible and then the group is welcomed into EYC, our youth group. Invite your godparents! It is our tradition to have the kids' godparents make the presentation.
Creation Sunday is April 28 at St. Luke’s and we will welcome Dr. Gerald Durley as our guest speaker. Dr. Durley is the legendary “warrior/prophet” minister who, for more than a quarter of a century, has not only transcended his Christian faith and his Providence Missionary Baptist Church pulpit, but has embraced and encouraged an entire generation of Atlanta’s unique brand of civil and human rights-based leadership. Dr. Durley believes we all are entitled to clean water, toxic-free air, and a non-polluted environment.

Have you have you made the pledge to grow a loving, liberating, life-giving relationship with the whole of God’s Creation; to join with others to protect and renew the Earth and all who call it home so that, together, we are living the Way of Love? If not, go online to the St. Luke’s website and scroll down to the Take the Pledge icon and click it -- or just click on the button below.
